I just found a real cool screen saver that my brother is using. After a preset time of inactivity your computer screen switches over to an old style flip-over clock. It looks great and is functional. Here’s how to get it going.
Open the Settings app on your watch, then tap Clock. Turn the Digital Crown and choose how far ahead to set your watch. Tap Cancel or Set. You can only set the time shown on the watch face ahead. Your alarms, notifications, World Clock, and any other times will still match the actual time. Word clock is a nice replacement for the typical analogue or digital clock that we generally use. It displays the date and time in a sentence. You can select from two display modes Linear and Rotary. The screensaver can be downloaded for iPhone, iPad, Mac OSx and Windows. These screensavers download at random from Apple’s Servers–there is no way to force a download. And you can’t choose a specific Aerial to play on your Apple TV. Instead, you can request Apple to download new screensavers by going to Settings General Screen Saver and select Download New Video–but you cannot specify which ones! Clocks Screensavers Here there are different analog clock, digital clock, worldtime clock and zodiac clock screensavers, which are available for PC and Mac. All clock screensavers are safe to download and run!
In the old days when computer screens were made of phosphorus (like old TV’s) if you left the same image in your screen it becomes burned into the screen and stayed there permanently, so it was necessary to run a ‘screen saver’ after a few minutes of no activity to make sure your screen was not damaged. Thats no longer an issue with LCD screens, but there are a host of ‘screen saver’ applications that turn your screen into an aquarium and so on. This app is one of the classiest that I’ve seen, it turns your screen into an old flip style clock display.
The screen saver is called ‘Fliquo’ and you can download it from here.
Here’s how to get it going:
1. Find the downloaded folder and find the little screensaver panel that looks like this:
Double click on it to install it. You will get a dialog box something like this. Click install.
2. This will take you to your ‘Screen Savers’ control panel. (You can also get there from ‘System Preferences’ then ‘Desktop and Screen Savers.’ Select the ‘Fliqlo’ screen saver.
You can select how long the delay is before the screen saver appears from 1 minute up to 1 hour. I have selected 2 minutes.
That’s it!
Now after 2 minutes your display will turn into am Old School flip clock.
iPhone Home Screen Clock widgets in iOS 14.
iOS 14 finally brings widgets to the iPhone Home Screen. The feature is available for both stock iOS apps as well as third party applications. At the time of writing iOS 14 is currently in its beta testing stages. The public release is scheduled for this fall and we expect mostly widgets from stock apps to support Home screen placement.
The Clock widget is one of them. It comes in three sizes and can display the time in one and up to four cities from around the world.
The glance can be added directly from the Home screen and placed on any app page. The small size provides a compact view of the time from four handpicked cities.

Money Heist Themed Clock Widget Layout
Unless you work in the travel niche, you might find the large Clock widget not useful.
However, if you’re a fan of the popular Netflix TV show, Money Heist you might be want to create a Clock widget layout that’s in theme with the show.
In Money Heist the names of the popular characters have borrowed the names of large cities from the world, to mask their true identities. Pick four of your favorite characters and edit the Clock widget cities to match their names, as shown in the screenshot available nearby!
Tip: The rectangle Clock widget is the optimal size for this trick. The other two small templates abbreviate the name of the cities.
