Help identifying a Joss Cue I picked up this cue at a local pawn shop, and I'm trying to figure out if it is a Joss(do they even counterfeit them?) and what model it is. Also, an approximate value of the cue would be nice, as I didn't pay much at all for it.
Always looking for ways to improve the playability and beauty of a pool cue,Janes continues to preserve the traditional look and values of old-time pool cue making while producing cues that play among the best in the world. Each Joss pool cue is marked with a unique serial number on the joint to increase value and distinctive character. Joss Cue ID I have been stamping a serial number on the steel joint of the Joss Cue for quite few years. When this first started it was so the owner of the cue could identify their cue. I have been asked so many times in the last couple of years to help a buyer of an older cue?Where, When, etc? That I have put all the serial numbers in a data. Serial number, but it does not say Joss on the shaft collar. Did Joss offer cues without the Joss logo on the shaft or it most likely not a Joss shaft? If it's not a Joss shaft then I will have to file an 'Item Not As Described' claim. No serial number, no Joss logo on the butt cap. I'm hoping it's not a fake, but I can't find anything that looks like it in the Joss archive. Any help would be very much appreciated!
Joss Cue Serial Number Lookup Reverse
It has 4 points with the Joss name inlays (which Ive never seen on another Joss cue).
